DMB concert at the Gorge was phoned in
This was my 7th year at the Gorge for DMB. The most uninspiring performance by far, as they played a bunch of old tunes. Dave thanked the audience for coming because there are so many bands touring. None of the long solos were worked in to showcase the gifted musicians that make this group fantastic. They all kicked in not until the finale of Jimi Thing. The songs sounded exactly like the CD's I listen to everyday. Nothing interesting, nothing new. It's a long way to go for something you can hear in your car! Too bad this was so disappointing as we were with some friends who had heard us rave about this band. I'm seriously thinking about skipping it next year. Lots of people near us had left after the first hour. Maybe they are just too tired by the time this gig rolls around to Washington; it sure seemed that way.
